Sophia was honored to be the Youth Ambassador (YA) for the JDRF Southeastern Wisconsin 2014 Walk to Cure Diabetes. Each year, JDRF names a YA for the Walk that puts a face on T1D, stewards donors and helps to engage families in the Walk. Some of the things she did as the YA were to speak at Walk events like the Corporate Breakfast, Family Rally, Team Captain Kickoff, Walk Day and Awards Banquet. Also, she represented JDRF by speaking at various corporations for their internal Walk kickoff meetings. These speaking engagements ranged from 25 to 7,000 people!
